AKC Registered GSDs

Shepherd’s House Shepherds

We are a multi-generational family with a deep love for God, community, and the incredible bond between people and animals. Our story begins with my grandmother, Ruth, who raised German Shepherds in Ettrick, Wisconsin. That passion was carried forward by my parents, Bud & Judy, who continued the tradition in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

In 2024, what began as a simple homeschooling project—“let’s try this”—quickly grew into something much more: a way of life. Today, we are humbled and grateful to carry on our family’s legacy of raising beautiful, loyal, healthy, and intelligent German Shepherds.

Our mission goes beyond breeding. We are dedicated to sharing not only our love for the German Shepherd breed, but also the training, discipline, and devotion these dogs require. Rooted in faith, family, and wellness, we seek to know God and to make Him known through everything we do—including the care and commitment we bring to each and every dog.

AKC Registered & Health-Tested Family bred & RaisedPricing $2,700
All of our dogs are AKC registered and health-tested for DM (good). Our first 3 litters have been out of Zacchaeus Jacob Narlock (DN59349706) & Zeder Stuber Dritte (DN72329201) who is the first American in her lineage. (Sire/Father was German and Dam/Mother was Hungarian)We are a family-run business, which means these puppies grow-up around children and are involved with our family’s daily activities. These pups will experience a variety of animals as they grow, including, cats, horses, sheep, chickens and a good amount of fresh air and sunshine.I know some people don’t talk price upfront, but I prefer transparency and predictably.
Our puppies come with 3 of my favorite dog books (training/dietary related) & AKC registration paid for (you just fill out owner info and official name). I am also offering a $200 return deposit after owner proves at least a beginners dog training course.

Our Past Litters:

Spring 2024 (1 male )

Spring 2025 (3 male, 1 female)

We are expecting our 3rd litter out of Zaccheaus & Zeder. We are super excited about these two AKC German Shepherds and the offspring they make! Both of our dogs are DM health-tested (good) AKC GSD. When we got these dogs they had some difficult habits due to lack of socialization and no training. However, we are so pleased with the distance they have come, which speaks to their intelligence and trainability.

Zacchaeus Jacob Narlock (DN59349706) is currently 7 years old. We have had him for 5 years. He is a high-drive, black & tan, medium-sized male with fantastic focus and a loving personality. He has great energy, loves to work, but can calm down an enjoy laying at your feet. He loves children, and does well with a variety of animals, but can be reactive toward other dogs, especially, other intact males.

Zeder Stuber Dritte (DN72329201) is currently 4 years old. We have had her for 3 years. She is a highly intelligent, medium-sized, black and red female with a propensity for protection. Both her father and mother were IPO3 protection trained and she has the intensity and intelligence to be a fantastic working dog. She came to us with a lot of anxiousness, but has calmed down to be a beautiful part of the family. She loves children and gets along well with all of our farm animals. She is curious, sweet, intelligent and can be very vocal.

I am not sure who authored this, but I found it on a GSD Facebook page, and I believe it is worth sharing for ANYONE considering a GSD.

German Shepherds aren’t “great dogs for everyone,” and pretending they are is why so many people regret owning one.

People think choosing a German Shepherd is about liking the look, the reputation, or the idea of loyalty.

The reality is it’s a lifestyle decision that quietly rewrites how your days, your house, and your priorities operate.

Most owners don’t realize that a German Shepherd doesn’t fit into your life.

Your life reorganizes around them, whether you planned for it or not.

People imagine the highlight moments: the obedience, the intelligence, the calm walk beside you.

What they don’t picture is the constant awareness, the way the dog tracks movement, sound, and mood like it’s a full-time job.

German Shepherds are not passive companions.

They are active participants in everything you do, including the parts you thought were private.

People think high energy means more exercise.

The reality is high responsibility, because mental pressure drains them faster than physical activity ever will.

You can’t “half-own” this breed.

They notice inconsistency immediately and respond by filling the leadership gap you didn’t realize you left open.

That’s why people who treat German Shepherds like oversized golden retrievers struggle.

The dog isn’t being difficult, stubborn, or dramatic—it’s responding exactly as designed.

This breed was built for structure, accountability, and purpose, not vibes and good intentions.

They don’t relax just because you want them to, and they don’t disengage just because life got busy.

People who thrive with German Shepherds tend to share the same traits.

They’re predictable, decisive, and comfortable being watched without feeling judged.

People who don’t tend to blame the dog.

They call the breed intense, too much, or “not what they expected.”

The truth is simple and uncomfortable.

German Shepherds amplify who you already are as an owner.

If you’re calm, consistent, and present, they become steady and reliable.

If you’re chaotic, distracted, or reactive, they mirror that with precision.

That’s why experienced owners don’t romanticize the breed.

They respect it.

They know a German Shepherd doesn’t just offer loyalty.

It demands clarity.

This is also why the people who get it never switch breeds easily.

Once you live with a dog that reads the room better than most humans, everything else feels muted.

German Shepherds aren’t hard.

They’re honest.

And honesty isn’t comfortable for everyone.
